Long before this was a business, it was just where my family is from — generations of them, in the towns and villages between these two cities.I grew up and spent much of my life in the United States, but I never stopped coming back, and every visit pulled me further in: the beauty, the history, the rituals of daily life that never make it into a guidebook.

I take real pride in that heritage, and even more pride in sharing it with others.

My great-grandfather worked this coastline long before I did, overseeing the oxen that hauled the fishing nets in from the Atlantic.
